Jackson County prosecutor charges two men for a second murder in the deadly shooting of a Kansas City woman found in a vehicle that fell two months ago.

Police responded to Independence Avenue and Paseo on August 23 regarding shootings and crashes. There they found a capsized car and a dead woman inside. The woman was later identified as Randy Smith, 27 years old.

According to the Jackson County Public Prosecutor’s Office, the survey revealed that the woman was planning to sell her PlayStation 4 console on the Facebook Marketplace and meet buyers at Paseo’s BP gas station.

Smith parked at a gas station and video surveillance showed two men approaching her car. The prosecutor said the struggle continued after the woman opened the door and one of the men fired a gun through the woman’s window.

The woman immediately ran the car, but lost control, hit a utility pole, and turned the car over.

According to prosecutors, the detective used Facebook messages to link the suspect to robbery and murder attempts.

The two men were identified and arrested. Keron Black, 18, was charged with second-degree murder, while Raynell Muldrew-Golston, 21, was charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Both remain in the Jackson County jail on a $300,000 bond.
