Desiree Staperfene is the survivor of the murder frenzy that took place in Livonia, 2012.
She did not only survive but witnessed the whole incident. It took the lives of her mother, Angela Kim Staperfene, and boyfriend, Jacob Lee Burns. Her ex-boyfriend, Brian Douglas White, the one behind it, took his own life after the whole incident.
Although Desiree suffered some minor injuries, the psychological trauma perhaps was immense. Whatsmore, she was the one to call 911 and inform them of the situation. Brave, isn’t she? After the incident was made public, the people worldwide applauded her strength.

Desiree Staperfene lost her mom and her boyfriend in 2012.
Her ex-boyfriend, Brian Douglas White, whom she left due to his dictating nature, went to her Livonia home and hacked Angela Kim Staperfene and Jacob Lee Burns to death with an ax. After murdering the two, he gunned himself, committing suicide.
The murder began at around 7:30 a.m. Desiree witnessed the whole incident and called the law enforcement authorities around 12:20 p.m.
What’s sickening is that Brian’s Facebook wall was full of American psycho quotes. A Reddit post had the information on his Facebook account, which got deleted a year ago.
So, why did the man murder the two? Was he a psychopath? or was there more to it? The police never got to arrest him, and with his death, the answers seem forever gone.
The psychological damage to Desiree after the incident probably was at the maximum. But, the question that many ask is, where is she now? She remains out of the spotlight and isn’t active much on social media. Her whereabouts remain unknown.
Nonetheless, Desiree is active on Facebook. Her recent post, which was a profile picture update, dates back to 2 October 2021. And besides that, she also updated her cover picture with a picture of a baby back on 2 February 2020. Hopefully, that post was about her children.
And for someone who went through such horror, she seems to be enjoying her life.

At the time of the incident, reports labeled the then 17-year-old as an aspiring actress. She was a senior student at Stevenson High School.
However, we don’t know much about her now including, her profession and marital life. As for her family, the 2012 reports only revealed about her deceased mother. Her mother died at the age of 46 years.
