As part of an investigation by the Collin County Sheriff’s Office and Plano Police, he was charged with having child pornography.

They didn’t think any Richardson ISD children were engaged, though.

Schmidt, who worked for Richardson ISD for three years, admitted to downloading and sharing the unlawful pictures with investigators.

Furthermore, according to the district spokesman, he was initially placed on paid leave pending the conclusion of the investigation. He later resigned.
