Besides him, Travis McMichael and his father Gregory McMichael also got charged for the murder. However, all of them plead not guilty. The jury selection for their trial begins on 25 October 2021, which could last over two weeks.
In January 2021, Bryan’s attorney Kevin Gough requested his client’s release from jail because of his uncontrolled high blood pressure. He even said that this health condition could affect his client’s ability to stand trial.
