If there’s one thing you probably didn’t expect to read today, it’s that you could play PC games on your Xbox console. Thanks to NVIDIA GeForce Now, you can play all kinds of PC games, including those on Steam, through Edge on your Xbox.

In total, there are over 1,000 PC games available on GeForce Now, so you won’t run out of options to choose from on your Xbox console.

GeForce Now is a game streaming platform, so you will need a good connection to enjoy the games on offer. Assuming you do, you can play popular games like Dota 2, League of Legends, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on your Xbox. We didn’t expect these games to be playable on console, so discovering them through GeForce Now is fantastic.

It’s important to note that the Edge browser on Xbox supports a mouse and keyboard, which is pretty much required for games like Dota 2 and League of Legends. These games are not set to run on a controller, so being able to connect PC control mechanisms is essential.

According to the first reports of The edge, the experience of using GeForce Now on Xbox is not great as the virtual keyboard pops up and there is some latency, but it is a good starting point for playing PC games on the console.

If you want to give it a try, you need to point the Edge browser on your Xbox and head to GeForce Now website. From there, you can log in (assuming you have an account) and start playing PC games. Again, the experience isn’t perfect, but it sure could be worse.
