According to the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office, Brian Roden was arrested in Chamblee, Georgia, about 30 minutes from the crime scene in connection with a US Marshals-backed shooting.
Cobb County chief Tim Fox said at a press conference Thursday night that he was charged with three murders, three exacerbations of assault and two kidnappings.
According to Fox, Roden was identified as a suspect a few days after the incident at the Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw and has a connection to the Metro-Atlanta region.

Fox did not share details about the possible motives of the murder or how Roden was involved in the shooting due to the active investigation.
According to police, golf pro Eugene Schiller, 46, who worked on the course, was allegedly involved in an ongoing crime and was shot in the green on the 10th hole. According to police, he was killed “because he witnessed an active crime.” According to Fox, there is no relationship between Schiller and the suspect.
Two other victims, 76-year-old Paul Pierson in Kansas and 46-year-old Henry Valdes in California, were found in the bed of a nearby white Lamb 3500 pickup truck. According to Fox, they were believed to have been killed on a golf course shortly before they were discovered. The chief did not share any further details about the kidnapping crime.
Police claim that Roden was the only shooter in the case.
